2009 National Drum Fair - celebrating the legends of drumming

This year 2009, the UK National Drum Fair is celebrating 100 years since the birth of the man who almost single handed brought the drum kit as we know it today, out from the back of the band, into the limelight. That man was of course, the one and only GENE KRUPA. The committee invite you to come and join us on this great weekend of Drums, Drummers, Drumming Clinics, Drums of all makes, from the oldest to the newest, including some of the best custom drum makers in the world.

In 1940 a 16 year old ERIC DELANEY won the title of Britain’s Best Swing Drummer, the rest is history, he’s played with every name you can think of and is still doing it today. Come along and hear him on his double bass drum kit, his tymp’s, and his marching snare drum, meet him for a chat and maybe an autograph. There may also be a chance to get a copy of his new book The Magnificent ERIC DELANEY (author: Eddie Sammons), the life of a living legend... a remarkable musician... a remarkable drummer showman... a remarkable person... a remarkable life.
